Types of Tissue in Digestive System:
- Muscular Tissue - Lines organs, expands and contracts to push food
- Epithelial Tissue -Lines digestive track, Secretes mucous along the digestive tract
- Nervous Tissue - recieves and sends electrical stimuli to the brain
- Connective Tissue - binds muscle together in the digestive system

Organs
Organs in the Digestive System:
- Mouth - Beginning of digestive tract, chews food and creates saliva
- Esophagus - Long, muscular tube, contracts food, leads to stomach
- Stomach - Muscular walls, breaks down food via acid and muscular walls
- Small Intestine - long tube, uses enzymes to break down food
- Large Intestine - Uses peristalsis to move waste out, adsorbs leftover nutrients/water
- Rectum - Holds waste from large intestine, tells brain when to release
- Anus - Holds stool, uses muscles to hold/release
- Pancreas - releases enzymes to small intestine, break down food molecules
- Liver - creates and releases bile to small intestine, purify blood
- Gallbladder - stores bile created in the liver, releases through cystic duct
